SUMMARY:Walk to End Alzheimer's
DESCRIPTION:Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide\, Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care\, support and research. This inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to join the fight against the disease. \nThe Northeast Kansas Walk is an inclusive\, family friendly\, non-competitive Walk\, which will start in Evergy Plaza\, proceed around our Kansas State capitol building\, and return to the Plaza. Dogs on leashes are welcome. The Plaza will open to guests at 8 am and the Walk itself will begin at 9:15. Registration is free and all who attend will receive our signature pinwheel flower in a color which shows their support for our efforts. Those who raise $100 or more will also receive a Walk t-shirt. \nChris Fisher from WIBW will emcee the event\, and DJ services will be provided by AmpSquad Productions. PoppinSqueeze lemonade and popcorn will be on site as well. Our sponsors will be providing coffee and other refreshments. \nTo register\, go to alzwalkneks.org.
