SUMMARY:Concert for a Child
DESCRIPTION:This year’s Concert for a Child will be a FREE community concert on Friday\, June 19\, featuring Zach Harmon at Evergy Plaza. Zac Harmon is an award-winning guitarist\, singer\, and songwriter whose distinctive style continues the lineage of American Blues music. America’s classical music.\nOpening up for Zach will be local band The Mix with Mike Babb. They are a blues and classic rock group from Topeka playing old school music from the 60′\, 70’s and 80’s.\nAs we get closer to the date\, more information will be announced.\nThe concert is a benefit for Pediatric Services\, including the Children’s Abilities Fund (CAF). This fund is a lifeline for families facing overwhelming financial challenges while raising a child with a disability. It assists families in covering the unreimbursed cost of therapy services\, such as high insurance deductibles\, copays\, additional therapy sessions\, and other essential services not covered by Medicaid\, commercial insurance\, or private pay. Additionally\, the CAF bridges the funding gap for program expenses that insurance and other funding sources fail to cover.
