This series of 9 events will take place each month from April – October. Movie Showing is offered on our 30-foot digital screen that towers over the Plaza in the heart of Downtown Topeka. Evergy Plaza hopes to bring families and children of all ages together for a fun\, safe evening of entertainment and community Pride. Each movie welcomes families and young people from Shawnee County and surrounding communities for popular\, classic\, family-friendly movies. Movie nights will be accompanied by a food trucks\, vendors and booth space for sponsors. \n  \nVendors begin at 6pm and the movie begins at 7pm! \n  \nMovie: The Nightmare Before Christmas \nThe film follows the misadventures of Jack Skellington\, Halloweentown’s beloved pumpkin king\, who has become bored with the same annual routine of frightening people in the “real world.” When Jack accidentally stumbles on Christmastown\, all bright colors and warm spirits\, he gets a new lease on life — he plots to bring Christmas under his control by kidnapping Santa Claus and taking over the role. But Jack soon discovers even the best-laid plans of mice and skeleton men can go seriously awry.

This series of 9 events will take place each month from April – December. Movie Showing is offered on our 30-foot digital screen that towers over the Plaza in the heart of Downtown Topeka. Evergy Plaza hopes to bring families and children of all ages together for a fun\, safe evening of entertainment and community Pride. Each movie welcomes families and young people from Shawnee County and surrounding communities for popular\, classic\, family-friendly movies. Movie nights will be accompanied by a food trucks\, vendors and booth space for sponsors. \n  \nVendors begin at 5pm and the movie begins at 6pm! \n  \nMovie: Ice Age \nTwenty-thousand years ago\, Earth is a wondrous\, prehistoric world filled with great danger\, not the least of which is the beginning of the Ice Age. To avoid a really bad frostbite\, the planet’s majestic creatures – and a few small\, slothful ones – begin migrating south . The story revolves around sub-zero heroes: a woolly mammoth\, a saber-toothed tiger\, a sloth and a prehistoric combination of a squirrel and rat that is known as Scrat.
